Position involves the day to day assistance and management of the Prairie Sunset Village Assisted Living and Senior Housing facility.
Must be a Certified Med Aide or willing to obtain certification within six weeks of hire. Supervisory/Management experience is preferred, as well as experience in a long term care setting. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to solve issues in a professional manner.
Position is primarily Monday - Friday, however some weekend and evenings may be required.
General duties include but are not limited to:
- All staff scheduling issues
- Training and mentoring new employees
- Effectively communicate with residents and their families
- Coordinate appointments and transportation if needed for residents.
- Keep the facility property in good repair, making arrangements with maintenance or other to insure things are taken care of. Also responsible for keeping all supplies stocked and replaced when needed.
- Supervision and evaluation of staff.
- Contact interested/potential residents in a timely manner to ensure facility is at/near capacity.
- Educate staff on policies and procedures
- Work closely with staff RN to evaluate needs of residents and assure those needs are being met by all staff.
- Know and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
