Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation

To Inspire.     To Advocate.    To Promote.

The Mobrdge Regional Healthcare Foundation shares in the Vision of Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics of "Becoming one of America's finest rural health providers". Since 1991 our advocacy, promotion and inspiration to raise funds and positively promote one of the few remaining community owned medical facilities in our region has been our #1 priority.

The winner of the 2 year lease on the 2008 Warriors in Pink Mustang is Kristi Moser of Mobridge!  The drawing took place on the 4th of July at the Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo in Mobridge.

The Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation sincerely thanks the Mobridge Rodeo Association and Beadle Sales for continuing the "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" campaign. Thank you to Joe Beadle for your idea, participation and support with the 2008 Warriors in Pink Mustang raffle. This campaign raised approximately $17,000 this year. This Cancer Awareness Campaign was another success and that is because of these two entities along with all of you who purchased raffle tickets and attended the Sitting Bull Stampede this year on July 3rd, "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night. Your contributions do make a difference. Last year the Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics was able to purchase a Bronchoscope with the funds raised from the campaign. A Bronchoscope is a vital piece of equipment in detecting lung cancer. Thank you to Lindskov Implement for donating the three pink New Holland tractor trikes that were raffled off on July 3rd. From these three tractor trikes we raised approximately $500.

During this season of planting we have another option for those of you looking to create a memorial, our Memorial Tree Fund.  You can now leave a lasting legacy at Mobridge Regional Hospital by purchasing a memorial tree in memory of a loved one, for yourself or your family. With a donation of $150 your lasting legacy will flourish on the campus of Mobridge Regional Hospital and be a rememberance for years to come. Shoot for the Health of It a Success

The Sagebrush Rifle & Pistol Club hosted a silhouette shoot at their range at the base of Red Top Hill on June 14, 2008  at 10 am. This event was a fundraiser for the Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation with $15 of the $20 entry fee going directly to the Foundation.

There were approximately 45 participants in the event that lasted until approximately 3:30 pm. From this event the Sagebrush Rifle & Pistol Club presented the Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation with a check for $1,518.

The Sagebrush Rifel & Pistol Club consists of over 40 members from Selby to Isabel. Last year the range was the site of three state championship competitions.

In the summer of 2007 the Mobridge  Regional Healthcare Foundation and the Mobridge Rodeo Association Committee co-sponsored a "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" cancer awareness campaign in conjunction with the Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo festivities. Miss Rodeo America Ashely Andrews from Bowman, ND spoke at a banquet in her honor June 25th about her own personal fight against cancer (photo L-R Ross Wientjes, Mobridge Rodeo Associaton President, Ashely Andrews, MRA, Katie Gregg, Foundation Director). During this campaign our two organizations sold approximately 2,500 pink t-shirts with area festivities culminating on "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night at the Sitting Bull Stampede Tuesday, July 3rd.  This event raised approximately $33,000 for the Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics.

On a beautiful harvest moon evening in October the Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation with Dr. Robert & Evelyn Marciano hosted an authentic barn dance at the Marciano Ranch tucked back in the rolling hills along historic Highway 1804. The authentically built 1880's barn was transformed to what it may have been back in the day. "Fiddler Nelson" an old time string band  performed  waltzes and polkas from 8 pm until midnight. Close to 150 tickets were sold at $25 each. According to many of the attendees a barn dance had not taken place in the area for almost 50 years.  A grand time was had by all!
