Mobridge Regional Hospital is currently seeking a Certified Physical Therapist to join our team of professional in our Hospital/Clinic Therapy Department. This position will work primarily as a school-based therapists helping students with disabilities overcome their physical challenges to achieve their educational goals.
Helping such students thrive in a mainstream educational environment helps them learn and socialize at the same pace as their peers. Typically, a school physical therapist is part of the team that develops an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for students. They develop treatment plans and implement appropriate therapy strategies to ensure students can physically access education resources.
In the school setting the Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with occupational and speech therapists, as well as teachers, aides, and parents in the IEP conversations, as they know their child’s strengths, needs and interests better than anyone else. In the school it is necessary to use these insights to create a specific, individualized therapeutic plan for each student that helps them meet grade level curriculum expectations. You will also support the child’s participation in classroom activities and extracurricular activities with their classmates.
Although working in the school will be the primary job responsibilities, must also be willing to work in the clinic/hospital setting working with patients with a variety of conditions and needs.
The position will begin part time working between 24 and 30 hours per week, but could increase based on departmental need and coverage.

Wage Range $36.65 - $51.67 - DOE&E
