MAR 17, 2008Kori Lemler, RN, BSN, CLC, OB Supervisor at Mobridge Regional Hospital recently received her certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice, Inc.
Certified Lactation Counselor's possess the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes to provide breastfeeding counseling and management support to families who are thinking about breastfeeding or who have questions or problems during the course of breastfeeding/lactation. They are dedicated to the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding and human lactation in their work to prevent and solve breastfeeding problems.
There are currently 12,000 Certified Lactation Counselor's in the United States.
