| Description | Nursing Assistants work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist with nursing care to patients as directed by the nurse. Nursing Assistant functions include: Personal hygiene, comfort and safety measures, assisting with activity, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The Nursing Assistant assists with maintaining a clean and safe environment for the patient. Must have effective verbal and written communications skills. The Nursing Assistant utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of adult, pediatric and geriatric patients.
